For a short time I became a purist. Please forgive me.
I had made the decision to not play a unit until I had it completely painted. Then, like an idiot, I decided to work on my Ork horde army.
The two thoughts didn't mix very well.
So now I'm back to my "Paint to Play" method that I used with my Guard army: get the basic colors on the models first so I can play with them, then go back and finish each model at a later date.
What makes this worse is that I will be participating the in the Berks Spring Assault II tournament in a couple of weeks and there is no way I'll have everything completely done by then. Oh, the shame! I have to play with a crappily painted army in a tournament!

I think everyone decides at some point they are only going to play with things they finished painting. =P
ReplyDeleteheh. Orks are almost as hard a task as a bike army...both of which i stupidly am painting
ReplyDelete@Drkmorals - yep, everyone decides that then realizes how impossible the task is! It's hard to work on an army and not play it.
ReplyDelete@Da Warboss - ohhhh, bikes. Someday I'll have some. But fully painted is SO worth it. I have one mob completely done (http://inquisitorlordaki.blogspot.com/2011/02/da-red-finga-grey-boyz.html) and having 30 fully painted boyz on the table is a wonderful thing. Can't wait to have 150 fully painted boyz!
