What the Frak is this Blog About?

People in the gaming community blog for different reasons. Some wish to just show off their models. Some do it because they are running their club’s “site”. Some have great content on their site contributed by multiple people. And it appears that some start blogs just to attack other blogs.

Nothing wrong with all those reasons.

For me, however, I run a blog because I am a selfish bastard.

I hate filtering through bookmarks. I hate having to go to many different places to see what I want. And I have a bad memory.

So when you look at my blog you will see little pictures and links of the sites I visit the most. You will see my 200+ bloglist on the left side. You will find a page where I put links to tutorials and tactics articles I found interesting. You’ll see the page for the Basement Gamer’s Cookbook, which has links to some of the most awesome articles I’ve read (or written) and some recipes. You will find the page for my awesome campaigns and campaign primers.

For me, my blog is my homepage. It’s where I go to get what I need. I may be a selfish bastard, but I am an organized selfish bastard.

But most importantly, you will see my opinions, missives, pictures of my junk, and, in general, my overall awesomeness in my posts. Hey, everyone needs to express themselves. That’s what the whole blogging thing is all about.

If you find this trash useful, great! Have at it. Use and abuse all you want. I don’t believe in copyrights, so if you see something that you like, stealing is appealing.

If you hate me and my awesome opinions, bring it! Comments are comments. More comments, more fun!

Helping the general hobby community as a whole isn’t my motivation. Oh, no, I am the ultimate organized selfish egotistical bastard!

IT’S ALL ABOUT ME!!!!

With that said, my projects for the upcoming months are:

1 – Get the Campaign Primer up and written. This is different than the Map-Based Campaign Primer in that it doesn’t require a map to play it. Calling it the “Non-mapped Based Campaign Primer” seems a little rough.

2 – Get the Pillars of Hatred and Crucible of Despair primers onto the campaign pages. These are two narrative campaigns that I created that have very different gaming focuses.

3 – Help with the Northeast Gamers Hub rollout. This is the most awesome forum ever – I’ll explain why next week.

4 – Get my 2,000 Ork list complete. Oh, yeah, there’s actually some hobby to this hobby.

5 – Get my basement gamers league started. Slowing building my wife’s tolerance to gamers swarming in the basement. This takes time.
